NBC wisely didn't rush Heroes through the brief window after the writer's strike and instead pushed the series back to showcase a full season this fall. We dig that decision mainly because we knew if they rushed out a handful of episodes to finish the strike-shortened season it would really mess with the storyline.
Season 2 was such a hit-and-miss with us we dreamed they would sit back and ponder how to make a really killer season 3. They started to make a lot of mistakes as the writers of Lost did in the 2nd and 3rd seasons but we hope they used their free time wisely to get it right.
The good news is that the Season 3 will premier at the upcoming 2008 San Diego Comic Con.
HEROES fans...listen up!The third season opener of the NBC series will reportedly be making its debut during Comic Con 2008.
The con has been a popular venue for the show for the last two years. Last years' HEROES panel was overflowing with fans trying to catch a glimpse of the cast!
After a somewhat disappointing second season, the showrunners plan to release goodies over the summer to convince the fans they are back and better than ever.
''We have to show our wares,'' says exec producer Tim Kring, ''If getting buzz means spoiling some things, I'll take buzz any day.''
A dozen new characters from the universe of NBC's Heroes will make their way into the spinoff summer series of "e-graphic-novel" stories that will be appearing on the Web and could find their way into the TV show itself, Frank Mastromauro, executive vice president of Aspen Comics, told fans at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con over the weekend.
