The All American Football League (AAFL) didn't last long did it? The startup football league centered around college fans and towns is ready to fold up before it even takes the field. Although it will try again next year it looks like the AAFL has gone the way of the USFL and XFL. At least the XFL got one season off the ground. Maybe the investors for the AAFL need to go back to business school.
"The AAFL blames the sub prime mortgage crisis saying that the league's finances are indirectly tied to the $300 billion federally guaranteed student loan asset backed securities market."One of the teams was based here in Knoxville, TN. and they had five other teams in Detroit, Little Rock, Ark., Gainesville, Fla., Birmingham, Ala., and Houston.
