M. Night Shyamalan’s LADY IN THE WATER Trailer

There's a new M. Night Shyamalan’s LADY IN THE WATER trailer thanks to Yahoo! movies. While Dave and Thomas are still a little in the dark on the film, M. Night can punch out some suspensful cinema that might make this a good film. Plus, Paul Giamatti as the main character makes Dave and Thomas happy. It's a good thing when good 'ole Paul can grab some screen time.

So, here's a synopsis of the movie, from the studio (more on link at bottom):

MI3 drops like a rock.

Fox news reports that Mission Impossible 3's numbers dropped 72% on Monday, the worst turn around for a Tom Cruise movie. While it's given that the most business is on opening weekend, and MI3 ranked far below expectations, the real test of a movie's popularity is how it holds on after the opening weekend. While most of the money comes in on the weekend, the repeat viewers or late viewers dictate the strength of the film. The actual take on the weekend was also over a million less than originally stated by Paramount Studios at $47.7 million (stated-$48.8 mil) It's too early to tell, but all signs point to a self destructive effort by Cruise and this will definitely change how future Tom Cruise pictures are treated.

Piracy and Hollywood-MPAA releases numbers.

The Wall Street Journal has released a graph stating that movie piracy has increased over the last few years. Attatched to the graph is an article that explains:

"The movie industry wanted the world to know exactly how much money it loses to piracy. But now a study shows the damage is far worse than expected, giving some studio executives second thoughts about releasing the information to the public."

Dave and Thomas 5 Great Commercials!

Dave and Thomas have spent days crawling the archieves on the web for what they think are some of the best commercials they could find. And by days, they mean minutes, because the list is long and Dave and Thomas had to hurry up to watch reruns of "CHiPs."
Here are 5 our their favorites so far.
Enjoy!

No, he cannot foul the chicken.

Mission Impossible III: Early Box Office Gross.

Mission Impossible : III

The early box office word is that MI:III is not a bomb, but has low numbers. FoxNews sums it up with this:

Grays says the new "Mission" numbers are a disappointment because both installments 1 and 2 did much better. "They each sold around 50 percent more tickets on their opening weekends (Friday-Sunday)," Gray says, "despite opening on Wednesdays."

While Dave and Thomas do not have a problem with the movie itself, they do sit in the vast wasteland of people who just do not want to give MI:III star Tom Cruise (and poster boy for Ritalin if there ever was one) any more money and are not sad the movie has not broke any attendance records. It seems that more people have been lining up to gloat if the movie did bad than lined up to go see it at the theater. However, J.J. Abrams (LOST) did direct and that's a plus, so maybe Dave and Thomas will catch a dollar showing.

Ruth did it on Hot Dogs and Beer.

It's not movie news, but it sure is funny.

Read the First Issue of Superman in Action Comics

As Superman heads into the summer with a new movie and a little facelift, Dave and Thomas ran across this issue of Action Comics online. Our friend Manny was kind enough to post the issue and you can read it at his site.

Bond, James Bond.

Casino Royale, a remake of sorts, is the new James Bond flick that is trying to bring back the Bond franchise with a , "gasp!"... Blonde Bond.
Dave and Thomas are still mixed about the decision to cast Daniel Craig as Bond, but hey, it beats David Niven.

Watch TV on your Computer.

Dave and Thomas are addicted to TV. And not just good, high quality television programs. Nope, we'll watch anything. If there's a bad kung-fu flick showing, you can bet one of them will be there.

However, there has been a void that Dave and Thomas have been searching for: how to watch TV when they have to go to their jobs?

Well, luckily for Dave and Thomas, ABC TV has created the first free TV shows online, legally that is. They have a select few of their shows up for a trial period that last until June 30. In can you missed the last episode of "Lost," "desperate Housewives," "Alias," or "Commander in Chief" you watch them on your computer when you want.
Here's an article by BetaNews to fill you in:
"As expected, ABC on Monday placed the first four episodes of its primetime shows online for viewing. The offering is part of a two-month trial announced by the broadcaster last month. New episodes will appear the day after they air, and are encoded in Flash 8, meaning both Mac and PC users are able to use the service.
Initial shows include a "Desperate Housewives" episode from April 30; new episodes from "Lost" and "Alias" from April 26; and a "Commander in Chief" episode from April 27. The standard viewing size would be 500x282 pixels, however a higher bandwidth version would be available at 700x394 pixels. Despite the free offering, ABC will continue to sell its shows without ads through the iTunes Music Store for $1.99 USD, the company has said."

DAVE & THOMAS SUPPORT SCARLETT'S BROWN HAIR!

When Dave & Thomas get bored, which is most of the time, they like to hold deep, theological debates about the existence of mankind and the role of the universe while sipping on some fine Merlot.
Well, not quite.
It's usually some hard liquor, beer nuts, and talk revolving around some Hollywood Hottie. To help fuel their debate, Scarlett Johansson has recently dyed her hair brown for her new movie, "The Nanny Diaries." While that sounds like a movie that neither Dave nor Thomas would admit to seeing, it does have Scarlett in it and that has some credibility. Thomas supports here decision to dye her hair and likes the brunette look. It kinda reminds him of the jet black hair of his first goth girlfriend. Dave, however, prefers the blonde look because it reminds him of his first girlfriend, the manic-depressive shut-in. So, using their time wisely, Dave and Thomas present some pictures of Scarlett with brown hair. And to be fair, they have also presented 'before' pictures of her blonde, as well as in a bikini and dressed up in street clothes.

Dave and Thomas Miss The Animaniacs!

They have Bologna in their slacks and they made Dave and Thomas laugh. It does not seem like 13 years ago that they first popped out on TV. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot were the Warner Bros. and were created after Tiny Toons (both produced by Steve Spielberg) became popular. After the WB was created as a TV network, Pinky and The Brain was spun off of the Animaniacs, which Dave and Thomas also support.

So, take a break and catch up on some Animaniacs in the videos below.

Dave and Thomas ask... What the ...?

What were they thinking when they made this commercial?
Did Michael Jackson sponsor this? There's something soooo wrong about the Ooozinator.

Dave and Thomas Support Capt. Jack Sparrow!

There's a new trailer for "Pirates" online now and you can catch it at WWTDD.com. That's short for What would Tyler Durden do? If you do not know who Tyler Durden is, than Dave and Thomas are mad at you.

Dave and Thomas Support 'Pimpfants!'

There's a loud sucking sound as America's morals go down the drain and Dave and Thomas couldn't be more amused. A lot of that has to do with a new startup clothing line aimed toward baby and toddlers called "Pimpfants!"

Nice! Pimp clothing for babies.
Dave and Thomas would of have more success with the women when they were 6 months old if they had worn a 'baby beater' shirt or 'baby-baller' basketball outfit. That's why they are fully behind the clothing line and hope that all pre-schoolers will be required to have dress codes of velour suits and track suits. And for a spin off line, how about "Goth-kids" for that pasty white, chunky kid that sits in the back of the play circle and is depressed.

Dave and Thomas Support Stephen Colbert!

In case you missed it over the weekend, the President held a Roast in his honor. In a rare case of a lack of foresight by the administration, the Roast was hosted by Stephen Colbert. As everyone knows, Stephen Colbert is the perfect host to 'not' offend the President.
Yeah, right. Anyway, Dave and Thomas love it when people in power are made fun of-right to their face. Mostly when Colbert compared the shuffling of the administration to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Mr. Colbert skewered the administration and got a lot of attention for it-both good and bad.

Here's what Colbert's accomplice had to say about the night:

"It was balls-alicious," Stewart said. "Apparently he was under the impression that they'd hired him to do what he does every night on television" -- that is, make fun of conservatives, public officials, and the press in the guise of an O'Reillyesque talk show host.
Balls-alicious, indeed.
Catch the links to watch the videos of the events and make sure to catch video 3 where Colbert dreams he's the new press secretary.
The videos are also online at ThankYouStephenColbert.org, which is linked below.

Dave and Thomas support Dave being a winner!

Over the weekend, Dave struck another blow to the Thomas legacy by being the 10th caller on a local radio giveaway. Tonight, Dave will be relaxing in his old, trusty blue beanbag watching his new DVD of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," wearing his new shirt and grasping a fistfull of bumper stickers and coupons.

Thomas will have to just settle for being 2nd best. Again.

Dave and Thomas Support..."A Scanner Darkly!"

Philip K. Dick is the unknown science-fiction writer that you didn't know you knew. Over the years you might have heard of a few of his works that have hit the mainstream: Blade Runner, Minority Report, Total Recall, and Paycheck. Of course, "Paycheck" stared Ben Affleck and sucked, but other than that, Dave and Thomas support the original short story. Dave and Thomas, however, do not support Ben Affleck.
If you are not impressed by his body of work, consider this: he wrote the short story for "Minority Report" in 1956.
Cool!
Let's just say he had a nack for some cool futuristic writing.

On July 7, 2006, Dick's newest adaptation his the screen, "A Scanner Darkly". It's one of the few books that Dave and Thomas have read. In fact, Dave and Thomas liked the book so much they put it on the top shelf with their favorite books, right next to "Atlas Shrugged" and "Little Women."

"A Scanner Darkly" is a paranoid story about an undercover cop, Bob Arctor (Keanu Reeves), who fries his brain with a futuristic drug called Substance D, which creates a split personality. Can't say too much more without spoiling it, but let's just say having 2 personalities can be chaotic, mostly for an undercover cop. The film was shot and then animated over using a rotoscope method that should only enhance the already trippy storyline.

Anywho, "A Scanner Darkly" is directed by Richard Linklater, who brought us "Slackers," "Dazed and Confused," "Before Sunset," and "The Bad News Bears." Well, at least the last one had Billy Bob Thornton, who Dave and Thomas truly support.
Namely, because of "Bad Santa!"
Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson, Winona Ryder star. It's good to see a group of people who can bring the own personal, real life experiences to a story on drugs, crime, and theft. Nice touch.
Warner Independent Pictures made the film and is kind enough to post some pictures of the film showing the funky animation style. Make sure to enjoy the new website, also.

Dave and Thomas Support Barbacks!

Dave and Thomas Support...Lost, and Evangeline Lilly's bra and panties!

Evangeline Lilly Lost sexy

LOST is more addictive than crack. However, Dave and Thomas believe that the success of 'Lost' is tied directly into Evangeline Lilly's bras and panties. Seriously, when Dave and Thomas first saw the promos for the new series called 'Lost,' they thought: "Was that a hobbit?" And then, this image flashed on the screen:

They would have had us there, but then they added Terry O'Quinn from "The X-Files" and "Millennium."

Don't get Dave and Thomas wrong: Terry O'Quinn doesn't look half as good in underwear as Evangeline Lily, but he's a great character actor. In fact, sometimes when Thomas is picking up Goth chicks at the arcade, he uses the alias 'Terry O'Quinn.' But, a hobbit, Terry O'Quinn, and that girl in her bra and panties? Yeah, we're there!

So, to celebrate "Lost" bringing back the weekly cliffhanger (that is when it's not a repeat), Dave and Thomas would like to present a small tribute to "Lost" in the form of Evangeline Lilly pictures. Enjoy!

THE DEVIL VS. A CRACK HEAD PREACHER!

Imagine a crackhead getting a local cable show and thinking he's a preacher. Well, he may be a preacher, but he sure don't look like any preacher Dave and Thomas have ever seen. Not too many preachers actually use the term: "you f'ing nincom-f'n-poop!"Throw in someone who doesn't know how to use a camera and the devil calling in and you get a surreal, 8-min clip of a ranting preacher using profanities.

A day without Jessica Alba Pictures is a day not worth living!

Dave and Thomas support the work of Jessica Alba.

Dave and Thomas would like to showcase the works of some of movie or televisions finest thespians. But, since no one cares about paparazzi pictures of Patrick Stewart Dave and Thomas chose to take the low road and brighten everyone's day with pictures of the finest, hard working thespian hotties.
Jessica Alba has grown into one of Hollywood's finest actresses. Seriously. Dave and Thomas have watched all of her flicks. It seems like yesterday when Jessica popped up in 'Idle Hands.' Told you Dave and Thomas have seen all her films. Most don't know that movie, so here's a clip.

It just goes to show the power a woman can have over a man. Just look at Paul Walker in these clips. He doesn't seem at all bothered by all those fish or the shark that's nearby. He's looking where all men should be looking. Jessica knows she's hot and that doesn't bother Dave or Thomas. Jessica has said she won't do nudity and even sued Playboy when they put a picture of her wearing a bikini on their cover. Dave and Thomas support her decision as long as she keeps posing for paparazzi pictures in her bikini.

He started with a small, red paperclip and traded some stuff, each time getting something better. His goal is a house and the current offer is a day with Alice Cooper. If you can help out Kyle, go to his site and trade with him.

Dave and Thomas Support Harassing Cats!

Dave & Thomas love it when animals are dressed in human clothes. And what could be better than a site devoted to the uneasy pain of cats dressed up as well as just odd stuff piled high on top of the critter. That's where "Stuff on My Cat.com." comes in.
People find stuff, then put it on their cat.
They take a picture, send it in, and then you laugh your butt off.
Good times!

Someone Keeps Stealing Our Letters

Finally, a game that requires no thought or brain power.
Just a bunch of those magnet letters Dave and Thomas used as kids to spell out curse words on the fridge.
It's hard to put into words the amount of hours Dave and Thomas spent trying to spell something since neither one passed the 3rd grade. It doesn't help when some turd on the other side of the world keeps stealing the 'p'.
' oop' isn't as much fun without the 'p.'

Falling Sand - The Game...

Dave and Thomas support killing time with trivial things.
That's why when it comes to watching and manipulating sand as it fall across the screen, nothing comes close to 'Falling Sand.'

But, check it out to understand why you have to try it.

Dave and Thomas Support Superman and Lex Luthor.

Click here for original Hi-Res Photo of Got Milk Ad (thanks MovieWEb.com)

When it comes to strong bones and a healthy body, no one is as great of a choice for a "Got Milk" spokesperson as Salma Hayek. However, if Dave and Thomas had to choose a dude to strut their stuff, then 'Superman' is a great choice.
Dave and Thomas are excited about the latest remake of a comic book classic. Comics have gotten a bad rap due to the excess of junk that came out of the 90's. Sure, Batman by Tim Burton was neat. But, Batman with nipples?
That's why Dave and Thomas were geeked out like club kids when they heard Christopher Nolan was at the helm of Batman Begins. Batman always had a darker side that needed to be shown- more of that Frank Miller 'Dark Knight' character that struggles with life.
So, when Dave and Thomas heard that Bryan Singer was bringing up the new Superman Returns, they quickly jumped out of their beanbags and gave each other high-fives.
Although Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane is a question mark for Dave and Thomas, the fact that Kevin Spacey is Lex Luthor surely makes up for it.

Dave and Thomas Love Monkeys!

When it comes to animals dressed as humans, nothing makes Dave and Thomas shoot milk out their collective noses more than monkeys dressed as humans.
That's why Dave and Thomas support 'Hockey Monkey.'
Just the idea of a furry little monkey whacking people on ice with a hockey stick gets Dave and Thomas all warm and fuzzy.
So, to celebrate our little fuzzy friends in clothes, Dave and Thomas have gathered a selection of the highest quality monkey videos. Or, at least the ones we found while surfing the net. Anyway, enjoy more monkeys!

Dave and Thomas Do Not Support Blowing Up The Earth!

Just for the record, Dave and Thomas do not support the Earth being destroyed.
It seems, however, that Sam Hughes has taken it upon himself to find ways to destroy our lovely planet.
Sure, Earth has problems.
But, that's no reason to go and kill it.
There are multitude of reasons for keeping the Earth intact with the most obvious being where would Dave and Thomas put their stuff. Also, where would Dave and Thomas go to pick up Goth chicks?
Are there arcades on the moon? Don't think so.

Over time there have been a slew of people with the thought of destroying planets on their mind. Some have had good reason, others are just angry men with issues. But, they all have one thing in common-they are evil to some degree.
Here are some of Sam Hughes' friends.

Dave and Thomas, for the record, do not support *N sync.
However, if the world would be slated for demolition, as in "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," Dave and Thomas would officially like to start a new race of humans on another planet with Salma Hayek and a handful of swimsuit models.
Sorry, no dudes allowed.
Dave and Thomas do not support sausage fests.

Dave and Thomas Support Bad Rap and Scarlett Johannson in a bikini!

Wow.
Dave and Thomas have a contest to find the worst video and Dave has found it with the 'Average Homeboy'. This clips takes the cake when it comes to lack of style, rhythm, and music talent. Although it is painful to watch, it does bring back the old days of when Dave and Thomas used to wear matching Zubaz pants.

That video is so bad that Dave and Thomas have to offer something else to make up for it. So, here's some pictures of Scarlett Johansson in a bikini!

Dave and Thomas Support Vanilla Ice, German Ninja Turtles, and Getting Kicked in the Nuts!

When it comes to bad, corny movies nothing says high-class like Vanilla Ice rapping with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The lyrical wonder by Ice brings back vivid memories of a time long lost. Those were the good years. Dave and Thomas still remember hearing this song for the first time in the arcade while they tried to put the moves on pre-pubescent fat, Goth girls.
Ahhh. Good times.
Just for kicks and giggles, Dave and Thomas have included the intro to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, only it's in German, and a guy getting kicked in the nuts by a Ninja Turtle. Dave and Thomas support Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles kicking frat boys in the nuts.
Enjoy!
